Kathleen Bittner Roth is a writer and editor for a variety of adult and young adult books. Her first novel, The Chronicles of Trencher, was the first in the series of historical fantasy novels that came to be known as the "Amber Chronicles." Her second novel, Darkness on the Edge of Town, won the American Library Association's Alex Award for Best Young Adult Fantasy. The third novel in the series, The Amber Chronicles: The Last Tower, was published in 2013. Kathleen lives in New York City with her husband and two sons.
